Digi Girlies Guild Takes Digital Empowerment to Weweso M/A JHS

Digi Girlies Guild is stepping into a new chapter, one filled with purpose, growth, and impact. On May 30, 2025, we are visiting Weweso M/A JHS, located in Amangoase, Kentinkrono-Kumasi, to reach young girls who are ready to dream bigger and learn boldly.

This outreach marks our second major project, and we’re combining two important conversations: menstrual hygiene and digital opportunity.

Digital Literacy Workshop

Our theme says it all:
”Educating Teenage Girls on the Importance of Digitalization and Related Career Opportunities.”

For many teenage girls, access to information on digital careers is limited. Some have never seen a computer up close, and others believe technology is reserved for boys. Digi Girlies Guild was created to break that mindset to show girls that tech has a seat for them too.

During this special visit, we’ll be leading a Digital Literacy Workshop where girls will learn how digital tools shape the world around them.

From basic computer skills to understanding what it means to work in areas like graphic design, data analysis, or digital marketing, our team will help open their minds to what’s possible.

We’ll also host a Career Guidance Session. This isn’t your typical classroom talk. Female digital professionals who’ve walked challenging paths and now thrive in the tech space will speak directly to the girls. These sessions will plant seeds of ambition, showing them real stories of success and resilience.

Menstrual Hygiene Awareness

Alongside the digital focus, we’re addressing a very personal and often overlooked issue: menstrual hygiene. Many girls miss school during their periods simply because they can’t afford sanitary pads. Others lack proper information on how to manage their menstrual health.

To change this, our team will hold a Menstrual Hygiene Presentation, creating a safe space to learn and ask questions. And most importantly, we’ll be donating sanitary pads to the students, helping remove one of the barriers that often stands between girls and their education.

We’re raising future leaders who will build apps, lead tech teams, design platforms, and inspire others.

Join the Movement: Pad a Digi Girl, Power Her Future

To make this vision become a reality, we need sponsors, donors, and supporters who believe in the power of equal opportunity. One pad, one training session, one word of encouragement; these small efforts change lives.

If you’d like to support this initiative, you can donate via MTN MoMo: 0553423359. Every contribution goes directly into helping a girl gain knowledge, confidence, and the tools to succeed.

The future belongs to girls who are given a chance. Let’s pad a Digi girl. Let’s power her future in tech.
